Mackays Win 2 Gold Great Taste Awards

18 August 2014

The awards, which are considered to be the benchmark for fine food in the UK are judged by a series of food critics, experts and producers from the industry.

Some of the judges comments included:

Dundee Orange Marmalade
“A great colour and a welcome addition to any breakfast table. The skins were cut evenly and although they had a slight bite, we found this quite pleasing. It offered the good balance of sweetness and bitterness that we anticipated.”

Scottish Blackcurrant Preserve
“Very good appearance – deep wine colour, glossy, big pieces of fruit, very nice set. A well made jam.”
“Lots of fruit flavour and not too sweet.”
“We like the appearance and the generous fruit. It is a well made jam, the blackcurrants taste fresh and the skins are not tough.”
