Cheese melt & Caramelised Red Onion Chutney with Chilli


2 pieces of pre-sliced sourdough bread

2.5oz Gruyère or other Swiss-style cheese, grated 

Mackays Caramelised Red Onion Chutney with Chilli

  1. Butter each of the two slices of bread on one side.
  2. Spread a generous dollop of Mackays Caramelised Red Onion Chutney with Chilli to the inside of one slice.
  3. Heat a griddle pan to a high heat. 
  4. Add the cheese and assemble the sandwich, with the butter facing out on both sides. 
  5. Add to the pan and cook on a high heat for 1 minute on each side. 
  6. Turn the heat down to medium level and toast each side evenly until the cheese melts.
  7. Serve with a leafy green salad.
